Stuff that’s just stuff

I decided it was time to do some housecleaning.  I took all the extraneous posts off this blog and added them to my new one.  It’s called www.ramblingsandotherstuff.wordpress.com.  There’s also a link to it under Other Stuff.

From now on, I will only post vacation photos and links to historical sites/information on this blog.  That way you don’t have to “listen” to me rambling about other stuff.

I am such a goof sometimes.  I hate reading manuals or asking questions to figure out technology (or pretty much anything for that matter).  Someone asked a room full of my co-workers recently if we were the types to jump in and just figure out how something works (like say a new digital camera) or if we first read the manual.  Over half the hands went up as those who were inclined to just figure it out on their own.

So, why am I telling you this?  Because I just figured out how to organize the links on this damn blog.  Yeah, I know.  So, anyway, now there are all kinds of fun categories and I also added a couple of the links to the history I’ve been talking about.  Labeled under Stuff about History.  How clever of me!

I was on my way to Ryan’s this afternoon, and I came across a bunch of people stopped on the bridge off of Highway 13. At first I thought there was something wrong, but once I got to the other side I realized they had all stopped to capture the beautiful fall colors. So, naturally I had to pull over and grab my camera, too!

The original photo was taken on the trip last year.  This is Flatbush.  Claudia did her photo magic and made it look like a miniature train set.  I like this better than the original so I decided to post it.  I wish I had half her creative talent!
